4th INTERNATIONAL BALKAN STUDIES CONGRESS

The International Balkan Studies Congress is an international event organized to promote interdisciplinary studies in the field of social sciences, contributing to qualified and original academic output.

The 4th Balkan Studies Congress is being organized in cooperation with the International University of Sarajevo and is supported by the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities, University of Tetova, International Balkan University, Istanbul Medeniyet University, and İLEM: Scientific Studies Association. The Congress will be held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the premises of the International University of Sarajevo. The International Balkan Studies Congress aims to create a networking environment among academics in the Balkan region, fostering the academic and scientific atmosphere within the region, and developing scientific methodology in the Balkans. Previous Congresses have hosted more than 90 participants from the countries of the Balkans, as well as Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Greece, Slovenia, Kyrgyzstan, Nigeria, and Morocco.

The 1st Balkan Studies Congress was held in Skopje, the 2nd Balkan Studies Congress in Tirana, the 3rd Balkan Studies Congress in Istanbul, and this year it will be held in Sarajevo. The Congress applies the blind peer review system; the abstracts and full papers that are submitted will be accepted after being evaluated by reviewers who are experts in their field. The papers chosen at the end of the Congress will be published by the Balkan Studies Foundation to admit the presentations taking place at the Congress to the scientific world.
